Edited to not look stupid…
I stopped reading after “momentum transfer”.
Anybody that believes in that or “energy dump” is a fucking idiot.
Most of the folks responding would not appear so ignorant if they read:

I was looking at it in the context of the general public reading it, as wound ballistically and firearm illiterate as most of them are. That was a mistake, but it is the truth.
To me personally, it was poorly written… and had a lot of bad information.
I was trying to be as kind as I knew how… sorry…
And this is kind of telling, really. A LOT of bad information gets passed around by the gun rags and those associated with it, and then we get the legend of the super bullet. The ONLY way to combat this is to push the knowledge out there where it can be viewed.
Agree… this was one of the main things I liked about the IWBA…
The IWBA? How do I join?
DeltaKilo,
Unfortunately… the IWBA ‘ended’ several years ago. There are still the journal hardcopies (WBR), but those are unavailable, at least at this time. Members could purchase them (hardcopies) during the time that the IWBA was ‘up and running’, and extras were offered at the time the IWBA ‘ended’. I wish now that I had purchased an extra set, but no use crying over it now, what is done is done.
We can only hope that at some future point the journals will be offered again, either in hardcopy… or digital format (even better). I have personally tried to get something going several times, but I have to be sensative to the ‘fact’ that those involved might get upset at me if I were to push further than I already have.
Last I was aware there were enough copies still left to make up a few complete sets, but those who can move on this and simply mail them choose not to. There is the ability to print out new journals, too… but it is not happening. This ‘stalemate’ has been going on for perhaps about 5 years, or so. I am not the only one who has tried.
I would love to have a central library of resources on this topic. I feel I have a decent handle on it all, but having the reports to gain a deeper dive on it would be good.
The info is very valuable… I just wish I had it in digital format. Perhaps someday Dr. Fackler will release it digitally… we can hope!!!
