Ammo suggestions

Try hi-tech ammo for components

Does PRVI Partisan have a crimped primer (SS109)?

If so, is that bad for reloading?

Anyone shoot this stuff much. I have seen some good reviews on it on the www.

Thanks, Brian

They seem to have some stuff back in stock. Last time I checked them (many months ago) they were out of most stuff.

OK, their 5 cent 55gr are pulled. Not new manufacture. Still probably a good value since they are resized etc.

They do seem to have surplus powder again, which is nice. Last time I checked they were all out. I had bought the Russian “unique” stuff from them like 3 years ago plus some other stuff and had periodically checked with them but they were out most of the time. Too bad the Russian stuff is not in stock there.

They do have WC844 of some sort at $94. That is a good deal and a good powder for bulk 556/223 ammo production. Pats Reloading had it at that but lately it has been up $10 at Pats.

The stuff I have from PRVI (the 55 gr m193 stuff) (just brass now, its all shot  ) is crimped, like your LC and other stuff would be too. So you need to swage it once before using it.

Prices look good! Is the pulls stuff safe? Seems a little strange reusing powder, but I guess they know exactly what it is before they start selling it off.

Hey guys yeah the stuff is up in price but back in stock. I paid $35/1000 pulled and resized M193 last time. I’ve run a ton of these as far as practice and for training purposes it’ll hit an eight inch gong at 300M as long as I do my part. The pulldown powder is fine for training, practice, plinking, etc. I wish Jeff Bartlett of gibrass would get stuff in, I use dto use him with a USAF buddy and we cut down hazmat together…

For match I use VihtaVuori propellants. $$

Anyone know how how expensive AIM is on shipping Ammo?

Surplus powder is fine to use… I’ve used a bunch of it,However, burn rates CAN and DO vary from lot to lot… The 8# I buy may burn a little slower or faster than the 8# you buy…So, when using this stuff for the first time, Be careful to work some loads up, and keep an eye out for overpressure…If you have a cronograph, this would be a good place to use it…

I believe that the charge the standard UPS type rates. I sent around 50lbs. of ammo to someone in Texas (me Arizona and it was around39.00).

In the same situation as OP but has anyone have any info on IMI ammo?

What info are you seeking? I think it was discussed here recently. IMI is good quality and happens to be cheap(er) right now.

Just wanted to know if its decent ammo, I could not find anything on the search function for 5.56/223 just 9MM. Right now I need ammo for training and range use,but I am starting to reload want to use brass afterwards for reloading.

I am sure there are more, just don’t know where.

IMI is probably some of the cheapest M193 brass you can get now
