I just ordered an Aimpoint H-1 (no need for the T-1 nightvision) and need some opinions on a mount. With the investment of the Aimpoint, I have no problem investing in a good mount.
I have seen many that have chosen the LaRue mounts but I am really looking at the KAC mount.
Please let me know what you guys think.
I’m selling my kz… lightest I know of and it returns to zero. I have an adm on order.
The LaRue mounts for the Aimpoint Micro are good choices too. Speaking of Aimpoint mounts, I’m thinking of trying the KAC mount.
I’m replacing my PA Micro/KZ mount with this Aimpoint setup. The PA/KZ will be going on my M&P 15-22. The DD and KZ weigh the same but I could not 1/3 lower my PA micro with the DD mount…but man does the KAC mount look lightweight and it also has the tacikool factor.
It’s nice to finally have the “Real Thing”.

Read the same thing about the LaRue’s and many have chosen them for their micro’s.

The DD is a good value and pretty lightweight, just not quick detachable.

I get lower 1/3 with my aimpoint/kz. I like it but the adm is b.a. link in site sponsors at the top.
For the Micro Aimpoints I like Daniel Defense, LaRue and ADM.
Daniel Defense very light but not QD.
LaRue 1oz heavier than the Daniel Defense but it is QD.
ADM is 2oz heavier than the Daniel Defense and is QD.
Well I ordered the ADM SOCOM Mount for my H-1. Called and got one shipped Next Day Air so It’ll be here tomorrow (Aimpoint will be tomorrow as well).
Called KAC to order their mount but after a non-productive phone conversation they didn’t seem to concerned about making a sale. I won’t go into details but I will NEVER own a KAC product ever a again.
