Aimpoint Down! Comp M4

I was sighting in a new Colt upper 6945. When I took the cap off My aim point the entire assembly came out. I thought about lock tighting it in, then try to unscrew it and hope the assemble stays in place.

I sent aimpoint an email.

Anyone have this happen to them? If so, did you fix it? Sent to aimpoint?

I have 4 and never had an issue. I tightened it too tight possibly.

Haha. I have one that I picked up for free because of it. They can fix it but it has to go back to Sweden. I haven’t gotten up to send it back yet. I did a temp fix with a Allen set screw and nut and use it on my .22 right now until I send it off
