I just received 2 Romanian AES-10Bs from J&G yesterday. Upon initial inspection I discovered they’re both suprisingly built well (compared to the wasr aks). The numbers don’t match on the dust cover and hand guards however, the bolt carrier does match the trunion. The sights are straight on both. The 1976 rifle has finish discoloration on the large top trunion rivet on both sides and the rear stock screw is buggered up. The 1970 is almost mint with the exception of the bolt carrier’s piston has a nick in the head. I’ve very happy with each so far, and we’ll see how they shoot. I’ll post pics as soon as photobucket and my iphone 4s cooperates. I hope this helps anyone on the fence about what to expect when buying an AES-10b.

Dual wielding anyone? :agree:
The tiny grip makes it hard with a heavy gun.
try some kettlebells. I hear those solve most tactical problems…
Firing a full 75 round drum through those will really put a smile on your face.
I bet you can find an original fat RPK grip if you post a WTB request on one of the AK forums…
I have the folding stock version and have been nothing but pleased with it. I would second trying to track down a fat grip or you can always through a US Palm grip on it. Not original, but they are solid grips.
very nice, i also have the sidefolder/adjustable bi-pod version w/all matching numbers, even under neath the rear sight, from jgsales. which now wears russian laminated stock set. so easy to bump fire when bipod is deployed:)
All I can say is my annual family memorial weekend shoot is gonna be fun.
