Just came across the transom on a PNW gun site. AP and BA are in receivership. Link to the court filing when I get back to the laptop and more as I find it.
That sucks, but seems like they were rumored to have issues staying afloat even when industry wide sales seemed to be doing well.
Always liked the Aero stuff I have bought.
It may not be the finest but it’s been a solid “pro-sumer” brand in my modest experience. Not Colt’s finest but no poverty-pony either - two out of three of my “Serious Work Grade” AR’s are on Aero receivers. (The third is Umbrella - and it’s third choice not on quality but because it’s the one for my gal.)

Interesting part: “Aero Precision was acquired by White Wolf Capital, and forum chatter has long suggested the typical PE pattern — slowdown in ordering, then availability problems, then production issues — is what’s playing out. We can’t independently audit White Wolf’s books or strategy. But the broader pattern is real: think of what Cerberus Capital did to Remington under Freedom Group, or the Gander Mountain bankruptcy before it.”
Bummer, I have a 16” BA barrel that while over gassed, is excellent accuracy wise. I would buy another. Not the same result with the Aero LBK I got. The parts just seem rougher and don’t operate as smoothly as my others. Still, the parts do work.
I have a BA 10.5” complete upper receiver that I bought on a Black Friday deal for $235 in 2019. I have thousands of rounds through it both suppressed and unsuppressed and it has been utterly reliable. I know it is a sample of one but it is one of my favorite guns to shoot.
BRT tube can dial that gassy sucker in.
Ha! That’s what I did and it is waaay better now.
Those things are brilliant.
