Can someone chime in and let me know if the front sight base will cast a shadow in a ta31 like it will in a ta01?
I reckon as they’re both 4x. Was barely noticeable in my TA01. Most of the time imperceptible.
Also on the flat top can you shoot both eyes open with the ta31 in a larue mount cause I couldn’t with my old ta01
Yes. If you couldn’t with a TA01, that’s a training issue. At the very least, it has everything to do with the way your eyes want (or don’t want) to work, and has nothing to do with the optic.
Same with the front sight post. It’d be a blur at the bottom of the FOV with any magnified optic. It would violate the physical laws regarding the way light travels for it to interfere in any way with your ability to shoot, unless you are focusing on the blur instead of your target through the reticle; if that’s the case, still a training issue you need to work through.
