I plan on putting together an accurized Ruger 10-22. Basically, it will be used as a Precision Rifle Trainer (I already have the parts to build an Iron Sight training version), so it will have a heavy barrel and a scope. What components should I use?
Step 1: I bought a Hogue overmolded stock with channel for .920 barrel. Step 2 will be to actually buy a base rifle. So what else will I need, in terms of parts and brands: Barrel, trigger, scope, and whatever I did not know enough to list.
This will not be competition rifle, just something to train with using cheap .22 rimfire ammo. So, I’d like a good barrel, but nothing too expensive. Ditto for the scope.
Any ideas?
