Am looking for a new in wrap to excellent pistol grip for the AR. That was what I got used to in 1966 when an M16 was put into my hands, and I can’t stand the A2 grip. I could and would dress down the “bump” if I have to.
Anybody here tried the old trick of using a rubber magazine cover for the M1 carbine for a cap on the bottom of an AR pistol grip? It makes a fairly dust and water proof–and roomy–storage compartment for stuff. Most of the caps when you can find them are about 40 years old and a little stiff, but will stretch on nicely with some help from a hair dryer.
As the line in “The Postman” said: “Old guys know stuff”.
