A.R.M.S. SIR system?

Back in early 2007 I installed a SIR on a team members carbine (see earlier thread) and it was junk. After a couple of months one of the screws got stripped out. The thing was rickety crap and you would be better off with DD or Vltor. Or hell just get some UTG gear.

Ouch. Come on man. That UTG comment hurt.

aw come on… no way is utg better than ARMS

They were the originator of what?

If you ask anyone outside of Picitinny, they will say its a MIL-STD 1913 which was developed out of a requirement from some “guys” who need to start attached things to their weapons. Picitinny will have you believe they invented it, NSWC Crane will never call it a Picitinny rail and Swan calls it the “NATO-SWAN” rail in Black Rifles 2, and we all know about that book and the author photoshoping himself in the COLT armory.

I also know a few guys who received a call from “a guy” that says he has a patent on ARMS Brown (known to the rest of the industry as Flat Dark Earth) and you have to buy this color from us only.

so who invented the picatinny rails?

You just stated who did it.

Hey, I got a utg quad rail, that things tough, it’s worn better than my rifle!

Trying to boost your post count with irrelevant comments while digging up old threads has created problems for previous posters.

Wow I can’t believe I started this thread. How far I have come.
