Ahhh gotcha. But that really isn’t as simple as $400.
It takes years of training for a small guy to become good enough to beat a big guy. Then there is the consideration of finding realistic training and having the time to devote to it. And even with such experience, taking on seven guys is a pretty tall order. But certainly something is better than nothing.
That actually branches off to a related point. It seems these are little gang bangers, future shitheads. With that in place, people who live a counterculture lifestyle will live by a different set of rules. Law enforcement does what it can to enforce dominant discourse rules, but a lot of that just results in quarantine of the shitheads so status quo can perpetuate outside those confined areas. the lawless end up having their own rules and their own street justice.
I dare to say, if no one made this beating famous, no one in law enforcement would have done anything about it…
Then again at that point the vengence would escalate and more retaliations would happen.
It has been my experience that gang-bangers like to settle things amongst themselves and not involve the authorities. I know this first hand, we do not subscribe to their form of justice and they do not subscribe to ours. Even still I would have to say that while there is some form of law (enforcement) it should be considered to be the primary enforcement arm of the community.
Reaching I know…
As for the video, I would have to say that if no one ever calls the police and says a crime was committed, or a police officer happens across the crime in some way then how is the law supposed to know a crime was committed and how would anyone go about investigating…?
