5.56 suppresor

I’m looking for a lightweight , full auto rated 5.56 suppressor for Bcm 11.5” with ELW barrel. 1000$ or less. Any suggestions. I don’t want an adjustable gas block unless absolutely have to.

I want the same thing.

This was recommended to me:

I have not purchased it yet….

I have been very happy with my YHM Fat Cat, happy enough I bought a second. A month or so ago Primary Arms was blowing them out for $499; I should have bought a third.

Thanks, I looked at both Echocore and Fat cat, they both look good. Was just checking to see if was something I missed seeing online.

I have a B&T HX 556, titanium w Inconel blast chamber. Very light, seems quiet and POI shift @ 100 yards about an inch. My 1st suppressor so cannot compare, but i like it.

This is what I have:

Razor556™

Thanks for the response guys

Started looking at these 2.

Both get good reviews, but no idea if the reviewers get paid or not and I haven’t found where one got tested on a meter.

Weight specs look good and the swappable front caps to adjust back pressure seems like a good idea.

Buying an “actual” 5.56 suppressor doesn’t make sense to me anymore. I like an over bored can because there’s reduced risk of baffle strike and no discernable difference in noise reduction from the shooter’s position in the cans I’ve tried. In theory there should also be less back pressure.

With the hub systems you can buy a 30 cal can and put the 1/2 28 hub on it, or some mount system if you’re into that fun.

Excellent point MarkM!!

”In theory there should also be less back pressure.”

Wonder how much validity there is to that? You would make the assumption based on common sense, but I wonder if it really cuts down on back pressure?

I’m gonna say that yes, it does. Can anyone verify?

I’m going to say yes an undersized piston kind of thing where the passage of gasses are allowed on both sides of the piston reducing the pressure.

I think there would have to be some specific range of calibers it would work with for cyclic reasons but it makes perfect sense to me.

I’ve been extremely impressed with my SAW Tisha 5.56 (titanium). It sounds great and has minimal back pressure.

It’s less than 10 oz with a Comstock titanium mount. I’ve switched to Comstock recessed micro brakes and the total weight between the silencer and mounts is less than 11.5 oz.

One negative with all the SAW cans I have is the cerakote sucks. They all have marks down to bare metal already and they haven’t been abused.

Thanks to everybody, you have gave me several options that weren’t on my radar

I like to run K sized suppressors on my SBRs and I have a YHM Turbo K, OCL Polonium K. I also have a OCL OCM5 that I run on a 12.5” BCM and also on my Gordon carbine retro.

The Polo K is quieter than the Turbo K and my OCM5 is much quieter than both of them and is about as long installed as the Polo and TK.

If I was looking to buy a new 5.56 dedicated can I would look at the Tisha, CAT WB or the Rhoadie Six.
