I’m looking to switch from an Aimpoint to a Vortex Viper PST Gen2 1-6x24mm. I’m leaning towards either a Badger Condition One Modular Mount, or a Geissele Super Precision Mount. What do you guys recommend? It’s going on a Noveske with a 14.5” upper. Thanks for the assistance.
I own both. You can’t really go wrong with either, despite Badger being the more fashionable choice at the moment. Reptilia is also worth a look. Nightforce unimounts are also very solid and relatively lightweight, though a little more limited on height options.
In those price ranges you may as well also look at the Unity FAST LPVO mount modularity and Scalarworks for light weight. Can’t go wrong with any of them.
Thanks. I’ll also check out the Reptilia. What ring height did you go with for your Badger Condition One? And what optic are you using? Been doing a lot of research and the Vortex looks good for the money.

Thanks. I’ll check them out as well. I’ve been out of the game for a while.
The Reptilia mounts also looks pretty nice. I guess it’s all just preference between Reptilia, Badger and Geissele?
I’m currently using a Razor in the Geissele mount it’s a heavy pig. I also, likely user error, had trouble installing it on a couple BCM uppers but no issue at all with Colt uppers.
Now they it’s on a dedicated gun, it may still get replaced with a Scalarworks mount just due to weight alone. Vortex aren’t exactly lightweight and combined with the G mount it is pretty stout. Definitely a huge difference coming from a T2.
I’m running a Razor in the Geissele and a Leupold Mark 5 3.6-18 in the Badger. I prefer 1.93” for LPVOs and 1.5-1.54” for anything with more magnification.
I’m running a Viper PST 1-6 in a Badger C1 1.7 height mount. I went with it due to the high quality, RTZ ability bomb proofness, and accessory mounting capability it has.
Why did you go with the 1.7 over the 1.54 height?
Because I have a giraffe neck and it’s more comfortable, but still not so high as a 1.93 that’s more uncomfortable shooting prone.
Reptilia Corp will be coming out with 1.930 and 1.700 height mounts in the next 2-4 months. I like that they are pretty much slick on both sides and don’t have the mount bolt fastening nuts that stick out or protrude. They are also coming out with complete ring and top ring mounts for closed emitter sights like the ACRO, Holosun 509T, along with different thickness spacers to adjust the height so the viewing window clears the elevation turret of your scope.
