300 yard, Stage 3 reduced for 50' qualification

The following target is labeled "TARGET, RIFLE “D” (300 yd, Stage 3) Reduced for 50’ Qualification & Training

Does that mean if I hit bulls-eye at 50’, will I be zero’d at 300 yards or is that the size of the target at 300 yards?
