We know this, but the general populace doesn’t. Ive seen a lot of comments to the contrary. People think military bases are full of service members loaded down like Rambo.

Non MIL folks are generally ignorant on the subject. I spoke to many people (mostly older) that were shocked when I told them I didn’t get to take an M16 and M9 home with me every night to my private residence.
