I’ve researched a ton of information on this, and other, forums in regard to .223/5.56 rifles. When looking at the larger caliber rifles, do the same aspects apply, i.e. twist, length of the gas system, feed ramp? Do the same brands that generally get thumbs up or down in 5.56 get the same treatment in .308? In other words, can the knowledge gained by studying up on 5.56 readily transfer to buying research of the .308?
I looked around the Beyond section, but there’s not nearly the activity over there as in this section.
