I recently installed an LMT 2 stage trigger in my LMT lower. I have not been able to get the trigger to reset completly. I have to give it a nudge to get it to reset. The springs appear to be in the correct position. Might I need a stronger reset spring?
Make sure it’s installed correctly, lubed properly and that the tail of the trigger isn’t dragging against the safety. You can test for drag by removing the grip and safety and see if it resets with more force.
I tried the test you suggested. The trigger return was much stronger with the grip and safety selector removed. I reinstalled the grip and safety selector with the hammer locked to the rear. The trigger return still seems stronger. I’ll try it out at the range tomorrow to be sure.
