The shooter who opened fire indiscriminately in a Virginia Beach city building Friday afternoon, killing at least 11 people and sending six others to the hospital, was a disgruntled employee, a Virginia government source briefed on the investigation told CNN.
The shooter died after a gunfight with police.
Police Chief James Cervera told reporters Friday night the gunman was a public utilities worker.
“This is the most devastating day in the history of Virginia Beach,” said Mayor Bobby Dyer. “The people involved are our friends, coworkers, neighbor, colleagues.”
Fox has it on their website: large .45 caliber magazines and a silencer. Then they threw it in there that all were believed to be legally purchased. What a hatchet job…
The media will twist things even if it’s not an AR…that you know all of them are praying it is every time.
With the last shooting that had a .45 pistol, the media spun that as the shooter using a “deadly high caliber pistol round” and all types of charlatans were in CNN discussing the deadly nature of the .45
I think that depends on the state. Municipal buildings are not the same as federal buildings. In PA. there is no restrictions on carrying inside municipal buildings other than possibly police stations. They can however forbid employees from carrying.
Unknown if he is correct, but from the story WillBrink linked: Vice Mayor James Wood said people can take guns into public buildings, but not schools or courts.
CNN is on right now talking about the suppressor and those evil “high” capacity magazines near where his body was found. One of them made some stupid remark about how concerned that we should be that he had possession of those items.
I am openly calling for the censure of the NAACP. The shooter was a black male who has abused his rights as a free Black male by purchasing legally held weapons and accessories that he would not have been allowed to purchase without the NAACP. Those people would be very much alive today otherwise and the NAACP has blood on their hands.
We must declare them a terrorist organization. They have failed to police their own. The Founders never envisioned black males to have access to life ending devices. Black criminality is a national emergency and enough is enough.

The police just said that he bought the two handguns in 2016 and 2018. Because that is very relevant to the crimes committed by the murderer. I guess the ComDems will starts pushing for a five year waiting period.
