I plan to run an 11.5 BCM upper with a triple tap and a KAC QDSS-NT4 can. Does anyone know if the 11" LaRue rail will work with setup (i.e. will the suppressor and mount clear the rail). Thanks.
I think LaRue measures their rail differently than the rest of the world, but I could be mistaken.
I can tell you that a 10.5" barrel with a 9.5" SWS SwitchBlock rail, TT, and NT4 will work.
Thanks for the reply. I guess I should contract LaRue then if I am leaning toward their rail? I want as long of a rail as possible and was hoping an 11" would work. Does anyone recommend any other 11" rails?
You want at least an inch less rail than barrel. The barrel slightly goes back into the upper, and you have 1/2" of threads for the muzzle device.
I think a 10" rail would be your best choice. You’ll probably have a little bit of exposed barrel but an 11" rail with 11.5" barrel will probably run into issues. Look at the 11.5" guns with the KAC URX II mid length which is 10 3/4’'. They is barely any muzzle sticking out.
