Zombie Defense

A friend who is considering a 6.8 for hunting purposes was checking them out at the fun show yesterday, they are based out of Richmond, VA. Cheesy name and markings aside, does anybody have any experience with them and their quality?

With a name like that, I don’t know that I would expect to much out of them.

Suggest looking at DD for a good hunting 6.8 AR.

C4

Tell them to go get a stag. They are great guns and there are some guys that sell the 16" upper for like $475 or something like that. Great guns a few buddies have them and they are killing machines. I have a psa which is fine as well but the stags seem really good and economical.

This would be my first choice as well.

Otherwise, I might give Noveske a look…

This reads like a troll post. All you have to do is a little digging here and on 68forums to see what kind of crap Stag is known for…marking 1:10 barrels as 1:11, marking the chamber as Spec II when it wasn’t, servicing a customer’s left-handed upper and returning a right-handed upper to them, etc, etc.

When I was researching the 6.8 over at the 6.8 forums I kept running across a lot of positive comments and recommendations for AR performance 6.8 uppers.

I wouldn’t trust it.

Zombie Defense…we’re really discussing it on this forum?

Probably craptastic.

I’ve owned one, and highly recommend ARP.

Noveske…Rogue…Hunter or bust.

the owner got his start selling parts and accessories at local gun shows. he had an idea to become a ffl and came out with his lower. he started zombie defense a couple years ago and launched the signature lower. it is built for him by the same company that builds and brands a lot of mil-spec lowers. the stripped lower quality is the same as spikes, psa, etc.

he does not have a complete zombie defense branded rifle but will assemble them using stag, dsa, yankee hill uppers. he puts together a good rifle that most people enjoy, and being a small dealer, bends over backward to please his customer whether they are buying a lower, complete rifle, suppressor, or something as small as a charging handle.

it’s easy to throw out the top tier names for recommendation but not everyone wants to spend the money for high end kit especially when they shoot infrequently and just want something for fun or hunting, not running in classes or using on patrol.

to the OP, i say go for the zombie defense build, you will be buying from a small dealer, a great guy who stands behind his value priced product.
