the particular model ar15 that I have is the lmt mrp cqb piston and i am sure you know it’s the one where you’re able to quick switch the barrel/or apply maintenance to the barrel by loosening to allen screws.
anyway, I took the barrel out to clean the carbon off and when I took it to the range it was a little off zero. I zero my rifle in at 50 meters and it was shooting a little high, though when I went to bring the iron down I couldn’t go any further down and it’s still shooting a little high. I am kind of a newbie to ar15s and rifles in general, so sorry if this sounds a little stupid, but what am I suppose to do to correct my iron zero if I’m not able to bring it down further when it needs to? also the sights are factory that came w/ the complete upper and lower lmt rifle.
I’m adjusting the one that is labeled “down” it has one knob going back and forth which is (down and up) then another sideways knob going (right to left)
now, second, which sight did you “move down”, front or rear? you do know you move the front post for zeroing elevation changes, right??? the rear adjustment is for shooting at different dstances.
you move the rear sight in the direction you want to move impact but you move the front in the opposite direction. think of it as placing the sight on the target and moving the barrel in the proper direction.
the link has everything you need to get you squared away. good luck…
