I’ve never had to do this before as I always kept my sights stock, but have decided to swap to a set of heinie’s on my M&P 9mm.
So at what distance should I zero them? Intended use is as a defensive/CCW pistol. Is there anything I should be aware of that is unique to sighting in a pistol?
After I zero them, I put a silver sharpie lines on either side of the rear. It helps me keep an eye on it to make sure it hasn’t moved, and makes it easy to reinstall if I need to pull the striker block for some reason.
seeing as they’re becoming more and more popular, what range should you zero a red dot on a pistol given the higher bore/sight axis? given the max effective rage shots would be taken at would be ~50meters 75 pushing it. would caliber play a role?
