Zasrava M92 a good choice for an SBR?

Hey all, I am considering SBRing an AK. I’ve wanted to for a long time, and I think I might finally pull the trigger. I’m seeing these pistols everywhere at reasonable prices, and I’m wondering if this would be w good pick for me to SBR. Is there any big reason I shouldnt? I am kind of ignorant about AKs, so I figured you guys who know more would be able to give me advice. Thanks!

They’re excellent SBR candidates. They come with a virgin underfolder rear trunnion that needs drilling out, just make sure to get the newer M92 that has the serial on the front trunnion end, some of the older ones have serials near the rear.

Other options are just drilling the rear for a side folding ace, or completely replacing the rear trunnion for a krink style side folder. US Machinegun has adapters that require no permanent modifications.

I’m new to the AK world, but I recently started researching AK’s to SBR. For me it came down to the M92 vs the Draco (see my thread a few posts down). The only thing I don’t like about the M92 is the ridiculous threads for using a muzzle device. Some might thing its cool to have an obnoxious fireball - but not me. Finding a suitable flash hider seems quite difficult, unless you run a thread adapter (and then your adding inches to your OAL, which I dont want).

Manticore Arms “eclipse” comes in 24mm, 26mm and 14mm. Test vids show it is quite effective even on pistols.

I bought one to go with my npap df. Very well built.
