Can you put a yugo AK safety lever onto traditional AKM pattern romanian, bulgarian, saiga, rifles?
I like that rear placed tab. Seems like you could operate it with your trigger finger.
Yes, although be advised that with different pattern trigger groups, you might have to do some fitting to make them work on different AK’s.
They’re OK, but not nearly as good a solution as the Blackjack SWIFT or the latest Krebs. The lever is so far back and high it’s hard to get good leverage.
It was really designed so that you could disengage the safety when the stock was folded.
This was my Yugo M90, real deal, not a Century or kit build.
See how high up and to the back that little tab is on the safety lever? You really can’t work it while maintaining a master grip on the weapon.

Good to know, because I was thinking about finding one to put on my romanian wasr, but it seems like it’s not worth it.
