You know the AR15 ejection chart (the clock-based one)?

What happens if your remove the built-in brass deflector from the equation? I believe it’s all based on judging “gassing” by ejection patterns with a brass deflector nub. I would assume having nothing to bounce off of kinda negates that chart, helpful though it may be.

Oh God, I remember using one of those plastic things on my M16A1 when I was in the Army! Only used it for qualification, and if the SHTF it wouldn’t be on there. I have one somewhere in my safe (I think).

Oh, and that plastic brass deflector protrudes way more than a built-in one. I mean it works and all, but it’s ungainly to say the least.

Depending on the situation, I’m a big believer in empirical data, direct - evidence, etc. Theory and lab data have their place but, not with that bs pie chart. It’s pathetically laughable.
