I attempted a few searches before starting this thread. Please direct me to current information if I’ve missed something.
I was in the market for a 5.56 can, specifically the SF SOCOM RC that is currently discounted, until I was able to get hands on and shoot a 5.56 SBR with YHM 3300 7.62 and 3100 5.56 suppressors. To my ears the 7.62 can was noticeably more comfortable than the 5.56 unit. The lightness of the 3300 and 3100 was quite surprising when compared to their steel counterparts from YHM. With the 7.62 can installed the balance point of the unloaded firearm was approximately where the front of the bolt carrier is.
I would like the opinions of folks who own or have experience with the YHM 3300 suppressor or similar units.

I’ve never shot either of those YHM cans. However, I do have both an LT (4300) and ULT (4300-TI). The difference in 13oz and 20oz is very noticeable. I’ve never had an issues with the cans or mounts.
I also have two Sakers with Y-Mounts, four F1 cans with YHM adapters, and have an adapter due here by the end of the week to mount an Omega on my YHM muzzle devices. So, overall I like their stuff…just no actual experience with the two cans you mention.
I have a 3300Ti and I love it, the sound report I find very comfortable on my 300blk, .308 and the 5.56. I agree with BigW, the weight difference was highly noticeable to me. Just holding the different cans when shopping I was rather baffled at the weight of some of the other popular cans out there. I also love the mount, super simple and problem free. That can gets a +1 vote from me.
Guys, I appreciate your replies. I agree with the weight of the Ti cans being very agreeable. That’s what swayed me towards purchasing a .30 can instead of a 5.56 unit.

Same here, the weight of the .30 Ti can was comparable lots of 5.56 cans out there, and I thought the sound report wasn’t a big enough difference to not get it. I love having the versatility of that .30 can.
