Yes, Republicans are Blowing the Midterm Elections

“Unlike gas prices, the Left’s obsession with race-baiting and its desire to mutilate and indoctrinate children are ills that will not go away on their own. Thus, these issues are never-ending gold mines for Republicans. Conservative candidates who do not make the culture war the centerpieces of their campaigns for all offices will deserve the losses they serve up for themselves.”

NM…no point in responding. (I had a lengthy response…it was good…but it doesn’t matter)

Off topic, what are ya’ll drinking on this fine Friday?

Vodka with mixers and a few beers before bed for us.

(Booze is the only commodity that hasn’t gone up significantly in the last 2 years…weird…at least in my AO)

Republicans don’t want to play this “culture war” nonsense unless they want to lose everything. They are already going to be playing defense on the whole Roe v Wade thing which was considered “untouchable” by so many people that the average voter will consider it THE election issue.

If Republicans want to win they have to focus on the economy, the economy and the economy. Every question about this or that needs to be steered back to the economy. Even Bill f’ing Clinton was smart enough to figure that one out, remember that guy? The one who got two terms no matter what kind of crap he pulled.

I disagree on the import given to Roe v Wade, but otherwise agree. To be clear, even if the economy starts to improve, even if Trump is obviously to blame for inflation…beat that drum. That’s what will work this time. Not so sure by 2024.

Clinton didn’t think his AW ban would cost him his Congressional majority, it did.

This is how it should be done.

Hearts and Minds. Play the game. Or be played by the game.

Agreed. Some may feel it was worth it, but there’s no doubt RvW will cost the GOP a lot of votes, and more who may have otherwise not voted, will due to being angry over RvW. I think without that, it would have been a legit red wave as they said. Whether it’s enough to cost the GOP midterms, guess we will know soon enough.

The RVW thing is a problem but the real problem is we are saddled with pathetic senate candidates whose only qualifications seem to be a nod from the man in the beach mansion. None of these guys have the chops. Literally, any generic Republican would have been better than these guys. In fact, generic Republicans seem to be winning their races. We will keep the house, probably, thanks to the lower profile of most of those races but Jesus…we have been getting our asses kicked since 2018 and the common denominator is obvious.

***Addendum

We still need to realize that the media is clearly coordinating a narrative that the Republicans are blowing it to try and get Democrats to show up and suppress the Republicans. You can look at JD Vance in Ohio. He is going to win. The media is blowing pure moonshine into the air and pretending that his 5 point lead is going to go away. If THAT GUY is 5 points ahead a Democrat cannot win this race in Ohio. Yet they persist because they want to keep the pressure on in case Vance does something so horrible it surpasses Republicans further. Expect a child porn related Oct surprise or similar.

Plus, Jerome Powell just dropped a reality bomb on Friday that I am sure Joe didn’t appreciate after his 1 trillion dollar student loan election bribe.

I support this message.

Turn off the fake news and your life will become much better.

I have no idea what is going to happen, but I think there is a distinct chance that on election night, the DEms lose the house and senate- bigly- and all the talking heads start talking about how they got it wrong because they were right for some reason.

The MSM and DEms have a narrative that everything is all roses. People know that it isn’t. A buck off the peak of gas prices isn’t going to make everyone forget all the other crap.

This Trump baiting is all about taking the Georgia senate races into a national model.

Trump never saw a circular firing squad that he didn’t want to join.

There has been an effective and coordinated MSM attack since 2000, and honestly even before that. Helen Thomas was their general for how many decades?

Pro-life vs. Pro-DEATH is never a problem, but definitely beat that economic drum & the ILLEGAL FOREIGN INVADERS streaming across our border drum!

There must be quite a media audience for doom among the right.

Lately I’ve heard that republicans will lose because of candidate quality, talking about past election, economic issues, taxes, energy prices, abortion, environment… you name it… republicans will lose. Now a kid who graduated from school a couple years ago is lecturing that Republicans will lose unless focusing on social issues like white hate and sexual indoctrination.

I think i’ll just vote republican and leave others to bask in doomsaying.

Republicans are not blowing the midterms the Republicans led by Mitch are throwing the midterms. No way do they want to hand Trump a majority when he wins his second term.

FIFY!

It’s impossible to avoid the Democrat narrative, they control the vast majority of outlets (even if the percentage is more balanced).

That being said, candidate quality is absolutely an issue. In my state we are running a retarded man whose only qualifications are playing college ball, bobsledding, being good at sit-ups, and getting the nod from Trump University. It’s absurd, we could win in GA with a generic candidate but we picked someone because they were a celebrity. It’s f’n nuts.

Abortion helped motivate depressed democrats but oh well. Helping limit baby murder is worth the extra hassle. I’m sure some folks wish we wouldn’t talk about guns but I’m not giving up that either. That being said, it’s been a rallying cry for the Moloch worshippers.

But it didn’t even do that. They just need to get it done in a different state. So in the end it rallys them and costs us. It’s not even like guns where a CA resident can’t buy one out of state or bring it back home.

100% of the Democratic narrative being unavoidable. It’s not being a doomsday sayer like some think, it’s recognizing the problems we need to think about IF we actually want to win something. I don’t think anyone here is so stupid they aren’t gonna vote because CNN predicts we can’t win. Hell I want CNN and everyone else talking about how “it can’t be done”, that is how Trump beat Hillary in 2016. Dems thought they had it locked up and could stay home and smoke weed.

Also dead on about useless candidates being useless. But same party that ran McCain and Romney against Obama, even I didn’t want to vote for McCain or Obama. The nicest thing about the 2016 election is it was the first time I actually voted FOR somebody.

I liked Mark Robinson the first time I heard him speak at the Greensboro City Council, his “I am the majority” speech. He calls it like it is.
