guys,
just got my first x300, what set up is the best to attach to a pistol, the installed universal set up or the rail lock?
seems the rail lock would be the most secure, but with that you cant go from ar to pistol
where as the universal would allow attachment to either an ar rail or glock?
am i correct here?
rail lock or universal???
thanks for the help

One will not fit the Glock rail. The Glock rail is smaller width than the 1913 rails on an AR.
The piece you use on your Glock should fit tight. The other would be used for standard rail systems.
X300 with universal adapter plate is intended for use on a Glock
X300 with Picatinny adapter plate is intended for use on Mil-Std 1913 Picatinny Rails
X300 with universal adapter plate will work on Mil-Std 1913 Picatinny Rails, but you will notice significantly more wobble/play
X300 with Picatinny adapter plate will NOT work on Glock
The slide-lock adapters will be more secure, but are a little more difficult and slower to remove than the standard spring-loaded plate.
Universal adapters are embossed with a “U”
Picatinny adapters are embossed with a “P”
