The gun has fired about 1000 rounds (probably quite a bit less). The gun was delivered @ '01-02, after a 22 month wait, and it does not have the infamous “MODEL 1911-A1” roll mark–the slide is “clean”. Options chosen include Novak bar-dot tritium sights, Body Cote “diamond black” finish (now termed DLC), and the 1.5" @ 50 yards accuracy gaurantee. Even with the extra accurizing, the gun was not/is not overly tight. For comparison, both of my Springfield Professionals were tighter out of the box.

The gun will ship in its original case with the supplied Metalform magazine. I will also look for the factory test target.

I’ll supply high quality pictures as soon as I get a reprieve from the heat and humidity. Right now, everytime I try to take pictures outside, my camera is instantly overcome with condensation.

The gun is available for $2000 shipped CONUS.

How is the front strap/MSH treated? Cocking serrations?

The checkering is the more widely pallatable 30 lpi. Rear serrations only. Here is a picture I took when I first received the gun. Unfortunately, the image quality (due to equipment and operator) leaves a lot to be desired…
