Question (I’m sure its “age old”)…I have the funds to purchase another complete set-up (like a complete 6920 with all the bells and whistles) BUT perhaps I should just look at maybe “tricking” out another upper? …Just buying a really nice upper and optics with all the “bells & whistles” and just switch them around as necessary…

What do you plan on doing with this next build? WHat is your existing one configured for? Specs?
Current build I am running is: SBR’d Colt 6920 w/ a LMT 10.5" upper and BCG; Troy RIS, Magpul MOE stock, Aimpoing Comp M optics with a Wilcox mount, Blue Force/Vickers Sling and Magpul BUIS.
I had good intentions of just building multiple uppers and getting one or two lowers.
It didn’t work out that way; just not practical in the long run plus lowers are relatively inexpensive.
Buy a complete rifle. Guns are like tattoos once you get one you will never stop. :sarcastic:
