Hey guys I am new to this hobby I recently purchased a eotech holographic with the 3x mag. I dunno if it’s me but I feel like the reticle is a little blurry … I accidental took one of these screws off thinking there was a power button, Me being a newb at this it was loosened for about a couple days just one screw … Would this affect my reticle or am I Just going blind? If n e one has n e opinions please feel free! Thanks guys.here’s a pic…

Some people have enough uncorrected astigmatism that they can’t see the reticle of an RDS clearly. It may mean that your glasses are poorly ground to your prescription, or that you don’t wear glasses but have heretofore unknown astigmatism that isn’t bad enough to affect your vision much, or that you have presbyopia and are trying to look at the reticle through your reading glasses.
It’s possible, but I doubt that you’ve changed anything by trying to partially disassemble your RDS. More likely related to your vision and it might be worth a trip to your ophthalmologist.
Mine isn’t as clear if I’m looking at the reticle itself. If I look at a traget my reticel seems to clear up.
Your optic is fine. It’s your eyes that are the problem.
Astigmatism and red dots/holosights aren’t the best combination. My Aimpoint reticle looks like a cluster of grapes. Strangely enough, my eyes see the EOTech reticle with less distortion, but this does not appear to be the norm.
Try focusing on the target and not the reticle. It should clean right up. The further the target, the better the reticle looks.
Or your eyes could be bad. Someone once told me the 1 MOA dot will only be 1 MOA if your eyesight is 20/20. Not sure if this is true - but if I don’t have my contacts in, my reticle looks like a big blob of red mess.

Thanks alot guys , yeah I think I was just trying to aim to close I moved back about 30 feet and it seems to be alright , maybe in just expecting too much but I think it might be my eye sight
bummer .
I love the sight! I should try sumomes glasses and then look through the sigght. Thanks alot fellas!!
If you want to see what the reticle actually looks like, without the effect of your vision, take a picture of it.
The camera doesn’t lie…or have astigmatism.
