This may be hard to see due to the crappy cellphone pic but someone gave me this today at work. He has no idea why it was notched that way either. I was just wondering if anyone saw this type of thing before. It looks like a piece was broken off in the pic but it was cut that way and some finish remains in the notch. Thanks.

You may want to post a few more pics of that thing to be sure it’s not an airsoft knockoff of the KAC QD flash hider. Do you know the history on it? Where did your buddy get it?
Here is another crappy cell phone pic. I didnt get the history of it from him I just assumed he took it off his rifle because the finish was worn. I will ask him about it on Monday.
Impossible to tell by the blurry cell phone pics. Your best bet is to ask your buddy where he got it. There are alot of KAC counterfeits out there. If he got it from a reliable dealer then you should be good to go.
def be carful with this its hard to tell from the pictures but it seems to look like the finish is flaking off, could be a air soft knock off, but i hope im wrong
If it is indeed the KAC QD Comp, it is a very fine piece of kit. I have em on all of my Recces.
