MILWAUKEE (AP) – The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives says a special agent returning to Mitchell International Airport at Milwaukee left her firearm in a bathroom there last night.
Assistant special agent in charge Guy Thomas says the special agent immediately alerted authorities when she realized she left her weapon.
He says it was either recovered by local authorities or a civilian. Thomas says he didn’t know how long the weapon was left in the bathroom but he says the whole situation ended quickly.
Thomas – who is based in St. Paul, Minnesota – says the situation is being investigated by the ATF, which is standard procedure.
He isn’t providing details about the Milwaukee-based agent, but says she’s embarrassed.
I bet she wishes she had walked out with toilet paper on her shoe and hanging out the back of her pants and pee on her hand instead having to deal with this:eek:
What does the gender of the officer have to do with it? A male officer could just as easily have the same thing happen, leaving it in the bathroom, or laying on the vehicle and driving away. Human beings are sometimes forgetful or get distracted.
Gender? Gender means nothing, unless you’re a girl that forgot a weapon in a bathroom and had to describe to you superiors the scenario in which you forgot your weapon in the latrine.
“Well, Bob, I place my pistol on the deck so I could reach around my arse to wipe it clean. The stench was so bad I gagged, so naturally I was in a hurry to unass the AO and simply forgot it laying there! I’m sure you could relate!”
I think it’s funny because of the girls that would have you think they only go into the bathroom to wash up or put make-up on.
Huh? Gender has nothing to do with it, unless you’re a female that would have people believe you do nothing but put make-up on in the bathroom and had to describe the scenario in which you forgot your sidearm in the bathroom. I would use my imagination here but apparently it’s too colorful!
