Wolf polymer ammo?

Anyone try this stuff yet? What I’m looking at is 55gr., and very reasonably priced. I have a three day, 2,000 round carbine course coming up, and would like bring enough ammo without selling a kidney.

I just ordered 1k Russian bulk 55gr .223 from Centerfire for $239 delivered. Haven’t shot any yet but the price is right. Dirty and cheap oh yeah. :stuck_out_tongue:

I shoot Wolf for practice but wouldn’t recommend using it for a high round-count course. I tried that last year and was sorry I did so.

I use it the over whelming majority of the time for personal range time as well as carbine courses. I have had no issues with it…at all, and I run my ARs filthy! 3-4K fired between cleaning, maybe.

Use a quality weapon with a true 5.56 chamber, lube generously, and you should have no issues.

Ammunitiontogo has Hornady steel cased 55gr practice ammo for $269.95. I went through almost a couple thousand rounds at a recent course with not one hiccup. Hornady uses Russian steel cases with U.S. bullets, primers, and powder. It does smell funny when the lacquer burns off the case but I can live with that.
