Does anyone know anything about this ammo? Any good? Who has it? Suitable for a normal milspec 14.5" 1/7 bbl?
What are the damages for this stuff?
Personally, if it’s not significantly less than Black Hills I wouldn’t bother
www.ammoman.com will have it for $89 for 200rds and $399 for a 1000 - delivered.
It is supposed to be Wolfs ‘Gold Line’ of brass cased ammo.
That is a lot cheaper than BH.
Comparison to the Black Hills offering should include a few more variables than price. Stuff like reliability, consistency, accuracy, manufacturer accountability…
Wolfs ‘Gold Line’ is made by Privi Partisan. I haven’t tried this particular load but others I’ve used were very good.
I think it is most likely pretty good stuff, but have not used it. I don’t know how much it goes for a case and that would be the deciding factor.

That Wolf 75gr HP is what I have been shooting through Bushy M4 with 1/9 16’’ barrel. It prints consistant 2’’ groups at 100yds and is pretty clean.
I have one box (20rnds) of Privi Partisan 75gr at home. I don’t think it was labled Wolf. It looks good and I did a load from amagazine test and it was OK. I just never made it out to test it for accuracy.
Additionally, I have several cases of Privi Partisan at home. I do not have any issues with this ammo. I should have bought more when it was cheap.
I’ve used a few boxes of Wolf Gold .308 in a bolt-action with no complaints. The tone of other reviews of Wolf Gold on other forums has been complimentary.
Aimsurplus has it for $77.50 for 200. It is the Prvi Partizan boxed, but both are supposedly the same.
That is getting into the realm of Black Hills Blue box (per thousand). I would venture to say that is not a very good deal IMHO.

I’ve fired the Prvi Partizan/Wolf Gold M193, but not this stuff. From what I’ve seen/read/heard the general concensus seems to be that it’s pretty good stuff, but that it’s overpriced. Or at least it’s not very competitively priced against Black Hills, it’s nearest direct competitor. Yes, it’s cheaper than Black Hills red box, but it’s close enough to the blue box in price to not offer any real advantage over a proven product like BH. I’d take Black Hills blue box over most manufacturer’s new stuff any day of the week.
The only thing that might make me consider getting some is that Black Hills can be pretty hard to come by these days, especially the .223 blue box. ![]()
I guess it might not be a bad deal if it’s the only thing available…
