New bill via Congressman Eric Burlison would end them totally and give it to the states to deal with. Via CN:
The most effective and logical path to follow is to abolish the ATF, they totally did this to themselves through their trying to legislate.
It would be no different than passing laws/creating agencies to limit speach, shutter churches, quarter troops in homes, and so on.
Heard the claim before it is the only known tax agency in the world attempting to reduce revenue also.

The ATF went off the rails many times, but I believe the above is very telling for a couple of reasons.
We caught them red handed trying to legislate.
The most telling thing though is that this happend during FJB’s time in Office. So a huge shift has happened for that to work out. Most of that comes from SCOTUS.
Just to daydream a bit here, wouldn’t it be nice to see a revamped and repurposed BATFE.
An agency that enforces the law against actual criminal elements while trying to support, improve, and encourage the growth of the industries and activities they cover.
I’d love to see headlines like “ATF joins Federal Reserve in raid of Bank X over discriminatory practices toward firearms industry”, “ATF arrests hundreds of restricted gang members for firearms violations”, “BATFE proposes national concealed carry program”, BATFE works with firearms industries to streamline and simplify regulations".
While we’re at it, why not add an office of Small Arms Technology Incubation–think something like NASA or DARPA for guns, maybe facilitating Industry Working Groups for things like “Standardize the AR10 TDP” or “Get Your Heads Out Of Your Shitlockers And Settle on 1 or 2 Common RDS Footprins.”
It would be advantageous to get .gov out of the firearms criminalization business entirely.
The .gov will kill your family over a $200 tax stamp, as poor Mr. Weaver found out,
The one downside is for people that live in states that have laws stating that silencers or other NFA items are legal only with federal permission. Some states, like Texas, will just drop that last bit or already have. Others, like Washington (I think), will just take that opportunity to prevent new NFA purchases without having to legislate.
The solution could be an automated rubber stamping process for people that live in that state. NICS pass? Here’s your tax-exempt Form 4.
Of course, last time Trump was in office with a R Senate and R House, they had the opportunity to deregulate silencers, but went after criminalizing bumpstocks and Form 1 parts-makers instead.

No one was willing to help the Trump agenda at any time during that, the RINO’s controlled both Houses.
