Bravo!
Well, I know who I’m going to toast tonight! Thanks for the link.
Well that was worded way better than the slimey POS and former SCOTUS justice would have it.
” His proposal would read: “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the militia shall not be infringed.”
Ex-Supreme Court justice pushes gun grab, 2nd Amendment rewrite
A Democrat I would vote for in a heartbeat.
That’s why I like the idea of an elected chief LEO; you can be a Democrat in one of the most liberal, machine-run counties in the country, and you can tell every politician in the country who are calling for gun bans to go take a long walk off a short peer, because you only answer to the people. Big city police chief? You’ve gotta toe the line and talk about how no one needs an AR-15 to hunt for deer, or you’ll find your next gig as chief some three man part time department somewhere in the hills.
I will be delighted to send Sheriff Clarke’s reelection campaign a check.
Nothing says “Good work, Sheriff” like helping him get reelected.
This makes me wish I would have made it to the convention today. I ended up getting caught up doing errands.
You know, the irony of Stevens’ proposal is that even if his view, that Founding Fathers only granted the right to keep and bear arms to service in the military, were true, the government and military are even in violation of THAT: Not allowing soldiers to be armed on base with personal weapons, not allowing them to possess their issued weapons unless actively deployed or in training, having to store their weapons at the armory, etc.
