Anyone know what the difference is between Winchester’s black and white labeled 9mm 124 FMJ NATO box (Q4318) and the Ranger label (RA9124N)? I’ve come across some information that says that the Ranger label replaced the black & white box, however I still see Q4318 everywhere with current date stamps. I’ve read other information that claims Q4318 is loaded a little hotter than the Ranger. Perhaps it’s just the box? Can anyone shed some light on this?
Shoot Winchester an e-mail to get the answer right from the source. They should be able to answer that one for you. Report back what you find out.
Couldn’t find an email on their website … that’s why I posted here. If you know what it is I’ll be glad to do that.
I just received some of the new Ranger version from ammunitiontogo. I only chrono’d 5 rounds, but other than the first one at 1168, the last four were all between 1185 and 1189fps. Informal accuracy was excellent. Function was perfect in my P30, but then I expected nothing less. I just ordered another 1000.
How about a toll free phone number? That should do just as well.
Good to know since I bought some for an informal training session…![]()
Seeing ammunitiontogo’s price is actually what sparked my curiousity. Seems like a good deal, and from what I’ve heard so far the ammo is a good performer. The Q4318 stuff is similar in price …
I should have mentioned that…
1000 rds delivered will cost me exactly the same as 1000 rds of WW 115 white box from wally world. And this is clearly better ammo.

Just got a response back from Paul. He says “The only difference is the box.”
