Winchester 670

I came upon a Winchester 670 in a trade and was looking for a Bolt action with Iron Sights for a while but just didnt want to spend the $$$ on one as I have a Browning BBR in .30-06 with a wide field of view Redfield scope on it that is as nice as anything I see made today.

Anyways - I have no $$$ in this other than $40 to get the safety looked at as this is simply a cut the corners Model 70 made in 1968’ and the safety was a little less that properly fit when I recieved it.

THis gun is basically unfired and deserves some woods time

Chambered in .243 and will be a great Doe rifle

I have the exact same rifle (it was my first deer rifle) and it shoots exceptionally well. Hornady Custom 100grn SPs (the cheap ones) have often produced 5 shot groups in the 1/2" range.

(actually, on closer inspection mine has a different safety setup, more like a Rem 700)

Nice! Looks like it’s in great shape too.
