Winchester 1886 with a different bend

This carbine was cut down from a Winchester Extra Light 1886 in 45/70.

I adapted a rail to the gun so you could use an aimpoint.

Once I got that figured out I cut the barrel to 17 inches and soldered on a front sight base.

The but stock was long and had a steel but pad so I cut it down fitted it with but pad.

Let me know what you think of this carbine.

You sir, an Artist of the highest order, well done.

Very nice, Mr Smith. It’s always a pleasure to see your work!

That is badass! How much lighter do you reckon it is vs. a Guide Gun?

Thank you all

The rifle is about 1/2lbs lighter that a 1895 guid gun.

Very nice work, as usual.

Outstanding work Mr. Smith! I’m going to have to keep my eye out for decent project guns with this in mind.

Thanks
