What is the story about the half cock notch?
They apparently have a registered trademark on the phrase “Bullet Proof”
i have about 1,200 rounds downrange on one now and i have to say that it is one of the best single stage triggers i have used on an ar. no creep and breaks clean at around 4lbs, reset is perfect.
installing couldn’t have been easier, overall i’m very happy with it.
the second safety notch is really there should the first fail, but i don’t see how it could. it doesn’t impact the normal functioning of the trigger in any way.
I got to shoot one at Bills place during a hog hunt
VERY nice trigger
I’m looking at either this trigger or a Geisselle trigger.
Any pros/cons for either?
I have the Geisselle SSA
it’s a nice trigger, but, in all honesty it doesn’t feel any different than the RRA NM I have in a different AR
and I am very picky on triggers
ok, it has a heavier first stage and then it breaks nice and clean
and by all accounts should stay exactly that way for a LONG time where as the RR may degrade
If I was in the market for a new one and wanted a singlestage I would get one
Bill certainly knows a good trigger!
So what is the deal with this “half cock” nonsense they keep touting?
I don’t get it.
There is a secondary safety notch built in to the unit if the hammer should ever dislodge from the sear to keep the rifle from discharging. We haven’t had that happen yet, but if it does, its there ![]()

Thanks for the info!
Any chance for an AR-10 version?
I recently purchased the Wilson Combat single stage tactical trigger (TR-TTU) and installed it in my work gun. I have about a 1,000 rounds through it, and I am extremely satisfied. It has no creep and breaks crisp. The reset is positive and I can feel the click through my cheek-weld more noticeably than the stock trigger. I bought it from weaponparts.com for $249.
I had a hard time paying that much for a trigger; however, once I opened the package and took one look at the trigger, it was obvious that this trigger was high quality. I was impressed with the craftsmanship and fit.
I would recommend this trigger.
I have a 6.8 coming from Bill with one of those triggers
can’t wait!
Brian,
Thanks for your review! The triggers are the BOMB. They are truly bulletproof!
so could the wilson ttu be used in a ma/ten type build?
We have them running fine in DPMS based 308 AR’s. We have not had our hands on a MA/TEN receiver yet, but as far as we know, it should work fine.
OK good because ups just dropped off my wilson ttu and its already in my ma/ten .308 build. I can’t wait to shoot it. I will post results after the range trip tommorrow.
I’ve got 4 TTUs with many rounds through 3 of them…
Best trigger available IMO and I’ve tried or owned almost all of them.
I’ve got one of the Mega .308s that I’m going to be building up, and I know single stage trigger is going in that one. ![]()
One of my 4 TTUs is in my MATEN and works perfectly.
