Wilson Combat BP Parts

Hey guys just wanted to know. How good are the WC BP parts? Does anyone here have or has had experience using their BP parts? Thinking about doing a SA Mil-Spec using all WC BP parts internal and external.

Wilson makes some quality parts, the only knowledge I have is a Wilson gun witb BP internals. I want to say their BP parts are guaranteed for life.

High quality and great customer service. IMO, you can’t go wrong with their stuff. I particularly like Wilson’s extractors. Good luck.

The Bullet Proof line is the choice of many a high-end pistolsmith for very good reason. It’s hard these days to refer to any one product as absolutely “best in class” because there are so many low-rate production premium component projects going on (Vickers, 10-8, EGW …), but I do feel comfortable saying that, part for part, the line BP is on unquestionably on par with the best of the best.

Upgrade with confidence.

Very well said! I will add that the Bulletproof ambi safety does indeed get my vote for “best in class.” I haven’t seen another ambi as strong or as well made as the Wilson BP.

Hey guys just ordered some parts from WC. I will post pics of the parts as they come in. I will also keep you guys posted as the project comes along. Man it’s amazing how fast the money goes lol. I’m also going to buy a 5in KART NM barrel. I mean if I’m going to spend this much… might as well do it right the first time. Thanks guys appreciate your input. Please if you have any other pointers or thoughts don’t hesitate post. Again thank you

I’ve done the circuit through most/all of the high end 1911 parts. I’ve ended up going with nothing but Wilson Combat. I would recommend their BP parts all day, every day.

Hey guys just got my tracking# from WC. The parts will be here on Friday. I will post pics of the parts when they come in. If you guys would like I’ll post pics of the Mil-Spec as well. I’m pretty sure you guys know what it looks like lol. Maybe you guys can come up with some other suggestions as well. Thanks again

I like Wilson’s BP Parts and have used them in all my builds so far. On the second and subsequent builds I’ve swithed to Berryhills Ultimate Ignition Kit (Hammer, Sear & Disco) and his Hammer Strut with the remainder being Wilson minus the GI Recoil Spring Guide and Recoil Plug (EB).

For the extra few $'s, I think Dave’s stuff is a step above Wilson’s in the fit and finish department.

Op- sorry for the slight derail, mods if this is out
of line please remove.

I have been looking at some wc bp parts as well, but I have also been looking at the ed brown hc parts. How do they compare to the wc parts? Or any of the other top makers? Thanks

Again sorry for the derail, I just didn’t think this deserved It’s own thread.

That’s great info I’ve never heard of Berryhills. Think I’ll check his stuff out. Thanks again

Also what you guys think about Cylinder & Slide for 1911 parts?

C&S makes good stuff as does Ed Brown.

I have found that on my 1911s, I like Wilson grip safeties, Ed Brown thumb safeties and C&S triggers with a Les Baer style frontstrap undercut with Pachmayr grips, plain black Novak sights and Chip or Wilson mags.

Other than that, I don’t give a damn what it looks like as long as it hits where I point it and don’t jam.

I think all the big name parts these days are GTG, even some of the MIM ones:ph34r:

Well guys these are some of the parts that came in today. Below is the project SA Mil-Spec.
