Will a riggers belt work?

I currently have a few 5.11 Tactical Riggers belt in 1.5". I am thinking of picking up a viking tactical brokos belt. Just curious if the riggers belt would work in the brokos or any molle belt system or do I need to pick up a battle belt thats 1.75 or bigger?

Will it work? Yes. Optimally, no.

Wider is generally better, in this regard. The true bottom line, though, is to give it a run with what you have for a while. If it feels unstable or otherwise wonky, bump up to a 1.75".

MOLLE belt sleeves are generally designed with a 1.75" belt in mind, however. Food for thought.

I tried 3 belts in my SOC-C before finding that the Eagle Duty Belt gives my 1st-line belt the best combo of comfort and stability I enjoy. It’s a very rigid 2" belt.
