if the extractor is missing an O Ring?? Assuming the spring is there, but the ORing isn’t …Just askin.

Of course, as long as nothing else is wrong with the system (rifle/ammo/magazine) and the correct extractor spring is in place. The use of the O ring in addition to the spring is a relatively recent addition to the system (and still considered “optional” by many). It’s just cheap insurance.

Lack of an O ring will not cause an otherwise functioning gun to malfunction.

The O-ring is insurance for carbines and SBR’s that require extra extraction due to the shortened dwell time. You are good without it.

I only use the O-ring in my SBR. No issues without it in my carbines or midlength.
