Will a DIAS work with a h&k MR223?

Just a hypothetical question of course…

I’ve looked at the specs on the differences between the MR223 aka MR556 (for you guys down south) and aside from the pin placement I can’t see any reason why a DIAS would not work on a MR223.

Am I way off on this one?

Would a DIAS for an AR work properly on a MR223?

I am not too familiar with ar dias but wouldnt you need a f/a bolt carrier group in the rifle for this to work?

Yeah I think it would as I believe the MR’s have low-shelf receivers, but you would have to do some work on the MR223 to get it working right.

  1. You would need to get a hold of an actual Hk 416 full-auto bolt carrier.

  2. You would need to remove the “tab” that protrudes from the MR223’s barrel extension in order for the full-auto 416 carrier to seat properly.
