Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said there were more than two dozen confidential human sources (CHSs) in the crowd outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, but only three were assigned by the FBI to be present for the event, while stressing that none of the sources was authorized or directed by the bureau to “break the law” or “encourage others to commit illegal acts,” Fox News has learned.

A Justice Department watchdog found that there were no undercover FBI employees at the US Capitol during the January 6, 2021, riot, rejecting speculation from allies of President-elect Donald Trump who have for years suggested that the violence that day was provoked by federal agents.
So, I guess we’re walking the line and saying these were not Agents, they were paid informants and bad Actors working for the Government?

While none of the 23 informants were authorized to enter the Capitol or commit illegal acts, four of them entered the Capitol building, and 13 others entered the restricted area around it. Despite this, none of these informants have faced prosecution.
Notably, one FBI informant reportedly told his FBI handler after the attack that he was not aware of any premeditated plans to breach the Capitol. This information aligns with press reports from 2022, which revealed that FBI informants embedded within the Proud Boys claimed they had no knowledge of plans to storm the Capitol ahead of the attack.
FBI officials have since defended the agency’s response, noting that FBI tactical teams were among the first to respond once the Capitol was breached. The agency deployed SWAT teams and helped to secure the perimeter, but the report noted that jurisdiction over crowd control and security rested primarily with the U.S. Capitol Police, the U.S. Park Police, and the Metropolitan Police Department.
What they fail to tell you is that the National Guard was standing by in Public Parking facilities and were on standby waiting for a call from Nancy Pelosi that never happened.
So the Guard could have ringed the capital buildings and prevented this, but the optics were too good for Nancy Pelosi to do that.
The IG only looks at official information, they will never undercover a hidden conspiracy.
This was only the FBI. Now, let’s do all the other TLA agencies.
This doesn’t address the Antifa or other private actors.
This should have been released before any J6 trials started.

There’s always been a level of distrust toward the media for as long as I can remember. However, the distrust accelerated at warp speed for one reason: Donald Trump.
Trump relentlessly called out media “fake news”. Prior to Trump, the media at least tried to project a modicum of objectivity in their reporting. Trump broke them.

I totally appreciate what Donald Trump has been through with the Media, but this twist I think goes all the way back to Bush II. The alignment between the Democratic Party and the MSM was forged.

I believe part of this is the rotation the Democrats have used to rotate the Press through various White House assignments, in many examples if you didn’t get the White House job your spouce did. Very prevelant during Obama.

It’s from that point of view I look at Fox News as not a bastion of conservative views available to all but rather as 7-Up a great selling alternative to just another Cola.

Ok cool, we got a number (whether it’s exhaustive or not is another question) of FBI informants, now we need the number of assets on the ground for all the other alphabet agencies as we all know they all had people there.
What if some of the FBI “informants” are actually employees of another three letter org? That’s 3D plausible deniability and technically true they didn’t have FBI employees in the crowd yet did have active agents working it.
