Why M4Carbine.net?

I agree. M4C is a fantastic resource for all types of shooters.

C4

just look to the med section discussion (http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=25255) to see why this place is special. it’s informative, insightful, respectful, and displays a concerted effort by most participants to bring first-hand knowledge to as many members as possible.

An ant in the afterbirth, a slug in the sun, when compared to the credos some of you guys have.
But it gives me the distinct HONOR of being able to communicate here. And I can say that I have learned a great deal here and that when certain members open or post in a thread, others just have to read it.
You know like an osmotic “Shut up and you’ll learn something” level of respect which we all deserve but only some have earned.

I Thank You

Michael

I stumbled upon this wonderfull little site in Afghanistan after I bought my first personal carbine. I must say that I learn something new here everyday about the civilian side of shooting. I’m not going to post any resume type stuff, I just wanted you guys to know that I’m on here daily and will be watching…lol

Delta Papa

what did you do in the Navy, TK?

I was a reactor operator and technician on a CVN - nothing very HSLD! :stuck_out_tongue:

does’t matter, you stepped up and served, squid! Which carrier?

Well, he glows in the dark, so that should help you narrow it down a bit.

CVN-72 U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln.

Guys – thanks for sharing the personal info. I know you all spend a lot of time, effort, and money training because I’ve been (enviously) reading all your AAR’s for several years, but beyond that, it’s interesting to find out some background on the mods, IPs, and SMEs. There are times I’ve wondered because I think it helps understand where various opinions are coming from; its always good to know the perpective behind the thoughts.

There are lots of good folks that keep this site ticking and it’s appreciated. I hardly ever visit any other sites and glad to call M4C home

And next they’ll tell you their time in the dark together was during a low-light class or something. Sure it was …

Nice

“what goes on at a class stays at class”

I have to say with all the knowledge between all of you .I am glad to be here.I only have a small amount of training with the M4 from Fort Knox when I was a 19 kilo .But with you Guys steering me in the right direction ,with facts , first hand shooting and all around Not making me feel stupid when I ask questions(which sometimes might be stupid:D) I thank you All!!!

Guess I’ll throw my 2 cents in:

Active duty Army (Infantry) - 96-01 (82nd and 1ID)

National Guard (Communications) - 01-03

Full time Police Officer - 01 - Present (Have worked patrol, currently in a street crimes unit)

Been through instructor courses such as :NC General Law Enforcement Inst., NC Subject Control and Arrest Tactics Inst., Surefire Lowlight Inst, Team One Lowlight/LAser Inst, NRA Civilian Pistol/Rifle/Personal Protection Inside the Home and Outside the home, NRA LE Handgun/shotgun, etc. Also teach the NC CCH permit course from time to time.

Have trained with the following people and groups: Larry Vickers, Ken Hackathorn, Paul Howe, Scott Reitz, Pat Rogers, Blackwater, Bill Jeans, among others.

Material I’ve been trained in includes: handgun, shotgun, rifle/carbine, high risk warrant service, covert entry (lockpicking), CQB, martial arts.

I’m a so-so shooter and am only here to make the other mods and IP/SME’s look good.

I joined this site early last year after lurking around and finding some very similar beliefs that I have about owning and carrying a gun. I don’t have any professional experience like most of you and can appreciate the input that you give on this forum.

The Internet is a difficult place at times and the moderators here do a good job of keeping it civil.

lol

You and John_Wayne777 are two of the most highly trained people that I’ve ever shot with. But I only hang around you for the stories…

This one time at carbine class…

…don’t be so modest.

You’re also here to wear interesting t-shirts and horrify honest, hard working, God fearing people.
