Who to cut down barrel??

Sorry i know this has been brought up, but the seach function doesn’t work…

So my FFL asked if I know who could cut down a chrome lined barrel. Hes just taking it down from 16" to 14.5". I tried to talk him into buying a new barrel, but when you own a gun store who come across spare parts in trades.

Anyways if you guys could suggest someone and shoot me a email or link and I’ll pass it on.

AR15barrels.com may have a backlog measured in years, call email or snail mail to verify.

I use ADCO, nearly exclusively, and have easily had 10+ projects come back perfectly. Lost count long ago. :smiley:

Other people have their pet companies too. So stand by for more suggestions.

I thought ADCO sounded right but was not sure. I’ll pass on all suggestions.

+1 for ADCO. Steve knows his shit and his turn around is about a week right now. (As of 4/9 anyway)

Another thumbs up for ADCO. I sent a barrel to them to have a flash hider pinned and the turn around time and quality of workmanship were both great.

I had seen a thread but cant find it now on doing a shorter barrel with middy gas system and pinned FH (dont want to go SBR). Anyone have that info ? Can I stay reliable at 14.5 with a middy ?

You should be able to. I think Daniel Defense and others make 14.5" middy barrels.
