who owns a LMT?

im thinking about buying a complete LMT and was wondering how many of the members owne these…ive done alot of research and heard the whole top tier / lmt VS. colt…debates …im guess im needing to hear some more positive comments to get my butt in gear to buy it.

Just do it.

I own 2 LMT’s 4 Colts and a few others. LMT nor COLT has ever let me down.

I own 2-LMT and I wish that LMT would sell SBR lowers or complete SBR’s.

I own both complete LMT & Colt rifles. Unless you’re looking for a pony rollmark, the LMT is every bit as good as any of my Colts.

i guess that was all i needed…im going to order it now!!!

I’m also another very satisfied LMT owner

I own two complete LMTs. One is a 10.5" and the other is a 16". I’d like to get one more before the '08 elections.

That would be fantastic. I bought my two Colt 6933s because they were available as factory SBRs. I’m selling my Colt 6450 and having a 9mm SBR built because the builder can do it as a factory SBR.

I’d like to see more companies in general offer factory SBRs frankly.

I have a 14.5" upper. It has worked perfectly with brass cased ammo. It doesn’t do so well with steel cased ammo though.

Have owned several. One of the best AR’s on the market.

I own a 10.5" LMT… got the lower locally and the upper from Grant, go stuff no problems what so ever.

One LMT upper
Two Colt uppers
Two Colt lowers
All very nice

C4IGrant, do you offer a LMT monolithic upper w/ 16" barrel complete with lower?

If you buy it complete theres a excise tax…cheaper to buy both from grant idividually. can be done on the same transaction too.

im buying the lower now and the upper in a few weeks when i have some money comeing in…

My personal opinion (and that’s all it is) is if you purchase a complete rifle, the Colt 6920 is the best route. If you are going to assemble, LMT is your path. I have 3 Colt 6920s and 2 LMTs. IMHO the Colts are better. This isn’t statistically relevant, but I’ll share my experience none the less.

I really don’t have any huge complaints about LMT, their sopmod stock is the best by far for me. I like VLTOR too, but I have a beard, and it had to go. The LMT Sopmod stock replaced them. The only problem I’ve really had is the magazine release. For some reason on the LMTs, the shaft is a little longer. And I tend to press the button in fairly hard while moving and shooting, and on both of my LMT lowers, when its pressed in too far, it hangs up on the left side. I tried pressing in the button and screwing it in another revolution, but it still hung up. I screwed it in one more time and that solved the hang ups, but then the threads were sticking out of the button. Its a simple fix, I can either grind down the shaft a little bit, or grind down the back side of the mag catch. Its a little thing, but my Colts don’t have this issue.

The crazy thing is that I never experienced this while shooting on a standard range. I guess I don’t press the button so hard at the bench. While moving I tend to grip a little bit harder, and press the buttons a little harder, and my experience changed.

Own a LMT MRP. Just as good as my 6920

Same here, I own a Colt 6721, Colt 6520 and a LMT Defender. All have been 100% from day one.

Get one from Grant! I got mine in about a week, and am very happy with it, as well as my Colt. Have not had the mag release problem with mine.

We have everything in stock.
