Who makes the best qualty FA BCG besides LMT,Colt? How does the CMT FA BCG compair to LMT,Colt?
Have you looked at Bravo Company?
I use the LMT Enhanced Carrier currently in my gun. However i honestly cant say i see the difference, it didn’t jam before and it doesn’t jam now.
I would recommend BCM LMT FNH BCG’s and Colts.
Even though I own and use a LMT enhanced carrier regularly i very rarely recommend it first. The last time i did the guy was having a dwell time issue and the carrier fixed it, don’t know if it was the proper fix but it worked, could have just needed a new carrier and bolt too. Your gun should and will Function with the standard BCG’s.
If I’m not mistaking Grant has some Fnh’s right now that are probley the best BCG on the market then BCM and then COLT LMT. Other then the brands listen previously i have a CMT BCG, But i ordered it from Grant so it was Properly Staked with the proper rings and such in it.
What hurts CMT (stag) is the lack of proper staking and possibly the lack of MP, im not positive on the MP though.

For $130 you can’t be the quality of a BCM bolt carrier group.
B.C.M. or L.M.T.![]()
How does the BCM BCG compare to Denny’s “Super Duty BCG”?

Has anyone tried that space aged finished bolt group from Denny’s guns?
I think the bolt, extractor, rings and carrier are finished in the Ion bond which is supposed to be harder than hard chrome.
They are both pretty much the same thing, you cant go wrong with one or the other(coke ,pepsi, ford, chevy ect ect).I would go with the Bravo Company BCG.I have one of Bravo Companys first made BCG's, and i have one more in my other rifle, 15,000 rounds (total amout, not each) through them and no problums.
I have one, I’m just waiting for my upper to arrive so I can take it to the range. The finish is very nice, smooth, and appears consistent across all surfaces. It comes with the extractor upgrade and an o-ring (It’s part of the BC upgrade kit but I don’t think Denny or BC installs them with the CS spring, I honestly don’t think it’s needed as the extractor is VERY stiff w/o it). The Ion Bond coating is supposed to prevent carbon buildup, and is supposed to be very durable. Only long term range testing will prove the latter, however, I will be able to comment on the former once I get it to the range.
Just to reiterate, upon initial inspection of the BCG, I was very impressed.
LMT. Both MPI and HPT.
I have a Bravo Company FA BCG (in my AR-15A2) and it is well-made. I believe all of BC’s stuff is the best available.
GLT:
I read that the third gas vent hole in the LMT enhanced carrier is supposed to adjust (extend?) the dwell time. Maybe that’s what was going on in your buddy’s rifle?
So is the BCM, that’s why they are so well received.
CMT makes a good BCG, I run a few of them. The LMT carriers are good to go, is there a reason why you want to avoid them?
It is several things but it is mostly the re-timed cam path.
I forgot about BCM and No, Stickman I don’t want avoid LMT. Colt just cause I didn’t want to pay for the Colt name & high price.
What the heck are you waiting around for... go order that Bravo Company BCG.;) :D
Sounds good, I wasn’t giving you grief (hope it didn’t come across that way), I was just curious as to if you had heard something about LMT that I was missing.
+1 on the BCM ,for $130.00 you can’t beat it .![]()
You can beat it. By 3.95. That’s a box of American Eagle 55gr FMJ .223 in 2005! Free shipping on the LMT here:

It’s what I run and I like. Denny isn’t the most polite guy I’ve ever dealt with, but he got me set up, fixed a small issue, and made a satisfied customer.
